Marcus Stefan Rivera is his mirror - and his contrast. He's always done what he's been told, followed the life carved out for him since birth. He even let go of his dream to be a flight attendant, burying it deep for the dream his parents chose, to become a journalist just like them. So, when Baby Marvel Stefano came - unexpected, unplanned - they said he was a shame, a scandal.

They meet as strangers at a high school reunion, both as someone else's 'plus one' - unaware that this night would be the quiet beginning of a much louder story. And as fate would have it, Navy becomes an unexpected partner to Marcus and a father figure to Baby Marvel.
