And she did. For years, she and her Warder fought the Shadowspawn. Until he was killed in a Trolloc raid. Amelisse survived-but just barely. She felt the wrench of the bond snapping, the soul-crushing loss that few Aes Sedai survive unbroken. She returned to a secluded manor on the outskirts of the Spine, near the wild borderlands of Kinslayer's Dagger, and faded from Tower politics.
Rumors spiraled amongst the Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah gone Gray, a warrior who had put down her sword. Some said she'd lost the will to live, others whispered she spoke to the dead. But the truth was quieter: she was grieving. Watching. Waiting.
Until Moraine Damodred appeared on her doorstep with the Dragon Reborn. She was reluctant at first. She wanted no part in the Tower's machinations. But something stirred in her: an echo of her purpose, a faint call of the Last Battle.
