1000 years has passed since the Light came to Earth and heralded a golden age. Broken and battered from World War III, Earth saw the Light as humanity's savior. The Light ended world hunger, destroyed our most virulent diseases, and slowly advanced humanity towards immortality. But it came at too great a cost. As we neared immortality, we lost something. We lost what made us human. By the time we realized what had been lost, it was too late. The Light was everywhere, outmanned and outgunned, humanity was put back in its place. But even now, the sparks of rebellion are igniting a people who will never be humbled again.
