Mr. Robert Sullivan has been in jail for the last two years for murder and abuse. When a mysterious black envelope is dropped into his cell, he has to only commit a murder again to be free. He travels back to his home, New York, to find his two remaining kids as newsies. But he is not looking for a family reunion, not a happy one at least, but revenge on his oldest son, Francis Sullivan (Jack Kelly). When he gets his mission, it's not one he expected.
For him, this is harder than what he's ever been up against.
Will he get away? Or get caught by a person unlike other newsies?
