Heartstrings | A Dark Romance Horror Thriller

Andi thought they had the perfect gig working the overnights at their local 24-hour gym, but after a few months, you can only work out, clean, and do so much homework before it gets tedious, right? All they want to do is get through their last two years of their Master's program and make a name for themself in investigative journalism. But how can they do that when nothing ever happens in Bridgeview?

That is, until the infamous "Lonely Heart Killer" starts showing signs that they've made their new stomping grounds in nearby counties. Straddling the gray area, Andi decides this might be the story they need to get a real career started. But as Andi gets closer and closer to the truth, they start to find little signs that something isn't right in their own life. Has their investigation brought them too close to the Lonely Heart Killer? And will they be next on the chopping block?

Jolene is new to the city of Bridgeview, but she's ready for a new start and thinks this might be the perfect place. She's already been accepted at a formidable law firm, and with any luck, will make partner soon. And even better, there's a professional orchestra!

Violins have been her life since she was a child, but she's never been able to split her work life and personal life enough to dedicate herself to an orchestra permanently. With a track record of being first chair, she's sure she'll be a shoo-in when she nestles herself more into the community. The fact that she makes her own violins with the occasional commission doesn't hurt either. Luckily, there's a crime ring at constant odds with the local authorities, so she'll have enough work during her day job to make connections fast.

All she has to do is remind herself not to hunt where she lives, but with so many strong hearts in Bridgeview, how is she supposed to resist?
