He had seen this battle unfold in his dreams, countless times, over countless torturing nights. But this time, Wei Wuxian had looked back. Lan Wangji had once thought that even if he spent an entire lifetime waiting, he would have no regrets, so long as Wei Wuxian was willing to look at him just one more time.
But it was not enough.
Never give someone an inch, because they will take a mile. It was especially true when it came to Lan Wangji's greed for Wei Wuxian.

Wei Wuxian arrived for guest lectures to the Cloud Recesses. However, Lan Wangji quickly notices, that there is something strange about the Yunmeng Jiang sect head disciple. He does not act like rumour describe him. And most importantly, he does not act the same as he had done in the past. Moreover, there are strange visions that Lan Wangji gets when he is close to Wei Wuxian. Just what is going on? OR Wei Wuxian travelled back to the past. He does not remember anything and does not want to get close to Lan Wangji. What will Lan Wangji do? This work is inspired by request from Olivia Hawkins: "A time travel fic after Guanyin Temple where WWX uses MXY's golden core to travel all the way back before he went to the Cloud Recesses and he takes this pill that prevents him from falling in love. Every time LWJ is near WWX, he has visions of the events that occurred later in the novel such as the Cloud Recesses burning, WWX giving his golden core to JC, WWX being thrown into burial mounds and WWX becoming the YP. He approaches WWX this time and hopes that he can protect him but is rejected constantly. So he summons most of the cultivation world to tell them about the visions he had seen."
