She didn't belong here.
Not with her wide, stubborn eyes and her mouth that tasted like defiance.

***

Rhys watched her back against the wall, breathing too fast, too soft, every inch of her begging him to tear her apart or leave her alone.
He wasn't sure which he wanted more.

"You don't get it, do you?" he murmured, letting his hand trail up-slow, deliberate-brushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear. His fingers grazed the edge of her jaw, feeling the way she flinched, then held still, proud little thing.

"You think you matter," he whispered, voice dropping into something rough, almost cruel. "You think you can claw your way into this world. Into my life."

He leaned closer, close enough that their mouths almost touched, and smiled-slow, merciless.

"You're nothing."

She didn't move. Didn't blink.
Just stared at him with all that stubborn wildfire he hadn't managed to kill yet.

Rhys almost hated her for it.
Almost wanted her because of it.

Nothing is dangerous when it has nothing left to lose.

And she was about to prove it.

***
Honey Bee Harrington was never meant to set foot inside the Cladwell estate-a crumbling empire of polished lies and sharpened smiles.
But death doesn't ask for permission. It rips, it drags, it buries.

Now she's trapped in a house that doesn't want her, with a boy who wants her even less.
Rhys Devereux: vicious, beautiful, and lethal in the way broken things always are.

He knows her bloodline. He knows her sins.
He knows he should stay away.

But hatred tastes a lot like hunger.
And when their battles turn breathless, when fury slips into stolen kisses and venomous whispers against skin, Bee realizes surviving this house might cost her more than her heart-it might cost her soul.

Because love was never the plan.
War was.

He calls her nothing.
She'll make him remember her as everything.

"You really want that?" he asks. "You want the part of me that doesn't know how to be gentle?" "Maybe I don't need gentle," she fires back, voice barely a breath. Something in him breaks. Rowan's hand grabs her jaw-not hard, but firm enough that she can't look away. His thumb rests under her lip, lifting her chin higher. Her pulse is everywhere. Too loud. Too fast. "Say it again," he murmurs. Too close. Too soft. Too dangerous. She swallows, but her voice doesn't shake. "I. Don't. Need. Gentle." For a moment, the world holds its breath. Rowan's eyes drop to her mouth-slowly-like he's memorizing the shape of it. She doesn't move. Doesn't speak. Doesn't dare. Their breaths mingle. Electric. Violent. Magnetic. Then he leans in-barely. Their noses almost touch. "So you want rough?" he whispers, lips brushing hers without landing. "Yes." ---------------------- He was the school's ghost. A rumor with a pulse. A bruise wearing a hoodie. Rowan Blackwood learned early that softness gets you killed. With a drunk for a father and a little sister who counts on him to stay alive, he traded childhood for survival before he ever hit high school. Street races at midnight. Fights in flickering alleyway light. Drugs passed, blood spilled, ribs cracked-but food on the table. To everyone else, he's the freak who doesn't speak, the boy with haunted eyes, the one you do not mess with. She was the school's shining star. Perfect smile, perfect grades, perfect life-at least, that's the mask. Seraphina Everhart is the golden girl with the world at her feet. Cheer captain. Rich. Worshipped. Untouchable. But no one knows about the brother she protects with her entire heart. No one knows about the ferret hidden in her room or the flour-smudged baking marathons at 2 AM. At school, she is seraphic. At home, she is invisible. Only in the dark does she get to be real.

But instead of anger, her lips curved into a mischievous smile. "At least you feel something for me. And something is always better than nothing, my Love." He stared at her in disbelief, his chest rising and falling with unspoken emotions. ✯ -------------------- ✿ ✯ ✿ -------------------- ✯ He was everything, she wasn't. When new comer Ryan Montgomery, meets Hayley Rhys, he makes a friend he never knew he needed. Laughing, crying and changing together only brings them closer. Ryan shares his past with Hayley only to be haunted by the antagonist of his nightmares. The two teenagers slowly get past their brick worries and peer above everything, just enough to see each other in a different light. I wish that was enough, sometimes you have to chose. Reality or a dream? A really good dream, a dream you can almost touch. A dream that laughs and smiles; kisses and loves you. A dream that's not a dream at all. A dream that's HER. ...x...x...x... "I want to kiss you." She didn't take her eyes off of mine- her words were all the incentive I needed. I placed my kisses on her neck, sucking and nibbling lightly. I wasn't sure where this was going. We weren't going to go too far with both Dan and Grace now sleeping in the back. "Keep going." It was barely a whisper, just two words that escaped in between a moan. My kisses travelled up towards her jaw. "God just kiss me Montgomery." She smiled and pulled my face to hers. It wasn't slow. It was fast and filled with static. She moved her hips slightly, pushing me into the seat with her kiss. I moved the hair out of her face and pushed back but my head met the chair once again. God. Her hands ran up and down my spine and curled round my waist. "We should stop." I rushed all the words out at once. We should stop. I didn't want to. I kissed her again and she rocked her hips back and forth. Fuck. "You're right." She tugged at my hair and we didn't stop kissing. "We can't. We can't." I held her face in my hands and took my time to breathe. I could still taste her in my mouth and it took everything I had not to kiss her again.

"I want to be all you think about, sweetness," he whispered in her ear, the weight of his words sinking into her skin as he removed the flimsy attire she had on, replacing each fabric with a kiss as he sang praises to her ears. His mouth was reverent, worshipping every inch of her as though she were a holy altar. When he reached the entrance of her darkest desire, his fingers danced in the nest of curls between her legs, coaxing a moan from her throat, raw and needy. She whispered his name over and over again, like a sacred chant, as he continued his sweet torment. Stephen's hands gripped her waist with barely controlled hunger and pulled her straight into his face, burying himself in the core of her heat. His tongue moved with sinful precision, replacing his fingers, dragging her into a realm of pleasure she'd never known existed. She was so loud that Stephen was afraid she would alert Darius and paused for a moment, tearing a piece of his clothes and using it as a gag. Cressida had never felt such a sensation before: warm and reverent. Her mind was clouded, her body trembling, and her thoughts torn between begging him to stop and praying he never would. The tension built, surged, and then shattered. Her orgasm came with such force that the world around her dissolved into darkness. All rights reserved. 'You didn't answer my question,' he asked, holding her gaze in his hypnotic ones. 'Wh... what question?' She was surprised at her own voice, it sounded like of someone else's. She wanted to ask him--which question, there were so many he had asked her tonight. Each one threatening in their own different ways to her sanity. Brandan smiled mysteriously. Not answering her, he instead said something else, 'Don't keep staring at me like that.' His voice was soft. Suddenly, she found herself in some other world. 'W.. why?' She stammered ridiculously. His lips slightly brushed against her, she closed her eyes in anticipation, under the spell of their lips connecting. Sparking were the electricity all over her skin. ''Cause....' He took a step back from her, leaving her cold and she was too lost to do something about it--like leaping closer to him and getting engulfed in the euphoric warmth once again. ''Cause, you will fall in love with me... ' He paused as growling deeply a set of thunders boomed above the skies. Cold wind made her hair dance around. He finally finished his sentence, 'Again.' Rain poured down upon her heavily as if the entire sky was about to break down over her, She opened her eyes against the cold water to see he had lef alreadyt, leaving her to drown into his words, completely. *** They say love's blind. Maybe that's why Emma loved Brandan despite all odds, more than she loved herself but only to find that it wasn't enough. When time and fate decided to be cruel to the utmost, she found herself broken in all the ways possible. Realizing that love wasn't enough, she picked up her ruined self and found a new beginning at the end. But fate had, apparently, some unexpected plans in store. Against all odds, they were meant to face one another once again. But this time, Brandan was a changed man and so was Emma. While one was burnt from the pain, another was burnt from the guilt. It should've ended with distance. A silence. A closed door. But instead, it began here-pressed against a balcony wall, with her breath caught between fear and temptation, and his eyes burning with something far more dangerous than lust. He didn't touch her. Not yet. But the threat of it lingered in the space between their bodies, in the way his chest nearly brushed hers every time he exhaled. She could feel the tension rippling off him, barely contained-like a storm pacing behind his ribcage, just waiting to destroy. "You shouldn't be here," he said, voice rough, low, and shaking with restraint. But he was the one who had cornered her. He was the one who couldn't stay away. And she? She hated how much she didn't want to run. Because this-whatever this was-felt like standing on the edge of something irreversible. "You're my employee," he snapped. As if the label could cage what was already unravelling inside him. "You're a mistake I keep choosing." Her eyes met his-furious, pained, exposed. "I never asked you to," she said, but her voice cracked around the lie. His hand lifted slowly, brushing the side of her jaw with a touch that contradicted everything his words said. Possessive. Tender. He stared at her like she was the very thing he was never meant to want-and the only thing he couldn't stop needing. "I've spent years building walls to stay in control," he muttered, his thumb grazing her lower lip. "You walk in and wreck all of it... without even trying." She swallowed hard. This wasn't love. This wasn't even hate. This was obsession-raw, electric, and utterly doomed. And as his lips hovered over hers, trembling with the weight of a thousand wrong intentions, they both knew- 🥀It started with a look. It spiraled with a touch. And before they could stop it, they were already each other's greatest undoing.

But nothing could be further from the truth. "There's a very fine line between love and hate, princess," he traces a finger down my neck to my collarbone. My skin heats in the wake of his touch. My body leans in to him, a part of me lapping up every bit of attention he's wiling to give. "This is such a bad idea." My voice is so quiet, it can barely be heard. "The worst," he agrees with a cocky grin. And then his lips are on mine again. Ravishing and relentless, like he's trying to steal the very breath from my lung's. ****
