Seventeen-year-old Julian Kingsley has finally found something she never thought she'd have-stability. After years of bouncing between foster homes, she's landed with the 'Kings', a kind couple who genuinely seem to care. For the first time in a long time, Julian has her own room, a quiet place to think, and even the beginning of a future she can believe in.
But old habits-and old ghosts-aren't easy to shake. Whether it's standing up for a friend, getting caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, or making one impulsive decision too many, Julian keeps finding herself in situations that threaten everything she's worked so hard to keep. As much as she wants to protect her new life, trouble has a way of finding her-and sometimes, she doesn't run from it fast enough.
Torn between the girl she was and the one she's trying to become, Julian must figure out how to stay out of the shadows without losing the light she's finally found.

Gravity & Grace

7 parts Ongoing Mature

Two boys from different worlds collide in the halls of high school. Julián Rivera is a Cuban African American teen with a big heart, a voice like honey, and a deep love for his heritage. He's a little nerdy, impossibly stylish, and wrapped in the protective love of six siblings and an overbearing family. But that love can't always shield him from the racism he faces - at school, in public, and even in subtle ways from those who claim to care. Then there's Hunter Sullivan - the golden boy. White, rich, and a jock, with a body built like Tom Welling in Smallville. He's got it all - except the courage to be fully himself in public. Being gay is something he keeps behind closed doors, and navigating his privilege becomes a challenge when he starts falling for someone whose life experience is worlds apart from his own. When Hunter and Julián's paths cross, it's not all sparks - it's friction. But as they're pulled closer by fate, music, and moments of unexpected understanding, they'll have to decide: will they let the world tear them apart, or will they rise above the weight of gravity - and find grace in each other? This is a story about identity, love, family, the pain of racism, the courage of coming out, and the beautiful mess of first love.
