Virtue of Princes

Vali and Haleakala Zalafel, the youngest children of the Holy Emperor of Zalafel, have been known as bad omens since they were born. And the people there were no strangers to bad omens.

Long ago, the All Mother, Yafei, birthed the gods, known as the Bright Ones. But her youngest, the Orphans of Yafei, were too much for her to bear. And thus, she died a maternal birth. The Orphans brought about the Scourge following their mother's death, and the only way to stop it was for their eldest brother to give them a merciful death.

Now, the two princes find their fates inextricably intertwined with the Orphans.

Because their mother too died giving birth to them.

With no one to rely upon but themselves, these brothers must find their place in life and discover what it truly means to be cursed by Fate. Because brotherhood might be the only thing standing between them and the crushing burden that said Fate had inflicted upon them.
