Lavinia Primavera always thought that her life was already a nightmare. She's been living her life with hatred and spite because of the people around her. Yet her childhood best friend, Callum Ignacio, tends to be the opposite. He still finds a way to understand every person even if it leads to the worst possible way. An outbreak occurred and became a nationwide problem. Life is indeed cruel, because who else would've thought that fighting and surviving will be a never ending cycle they had to endure? Maybe Lavinia's life back then wasn't so cruel compared to this. And for Callum, maybe empathy isn't always what we need in this world.

Hunted by the man who first claimed her, she hides in silence, until Meer, an emerging Muslim politician, becomes the only barrier between her and the chaos outside. Bound by guilt and an unexpected pull, Meer begins to realise his vicinity with the girl. But the nation which divided amongst the communal hate, will it be able to save these burning interfaith hearts, alive? __________________________ "In Islam" he continued quietly.
