I found him on a rainy Tuesday night curled up beside a dumpster like a ghost waiting to disappear .
He didn't cry he didn't beg- just looked up at me with eyes that have already seen to much.
"please," he said and that one word shattered something in me.
I was fifteen, and all I wanted was a little brother.
I didn't know then that saving him would one day break his heart...and mine.
This is the story of two hearts walking a fragile line. A line drawn by care, by memory by the promise of family...and the pain of knowing it could never be anything else.
