After King Arthur died and Camelot had fallen. Merlin was still bound to the earth until King Arthur rise again. After centuries have gone by, Merlin has learned to keep himself occupied in order to kill time without his friends and loved ones that he has lost. But recently he has been down again, thinking about his time in Camelot.
What happens when Aithusa calls for him?

Magic Revealed
Starting at the beginning of Season 4, Lancelot and Merlin manage to close the rift without a sacrifice. With Arthur curious about magic, Merlin finds himself revealing his talents to the most trusted of the knights and to the prince. One day, some of them mentiones how Merlin always seems involved. Which is why Gwaine made it his mission to make Merlin the travel Cryptid. Why is he stealing dresses? How come he suspects someone of treason and the next day they find them dead with evidence of their treason around? After some time of this game called: connecting the dot's it becomes a thing. Merlin had long since given up that Arthur would return. He had moved on with his life, and was currently a detective in London. It was the year 2021, and Merlin was doing fine. He had friends. A best friend even, Iris, who was also his partner. He still missed Arthur, but he was no longer waiting for the prat's return. But when bodies start turning up with alarming similarities to things in Merlin's life, he dares to start hoping, that maybe, maybe it was time for Arthur's return. His Majesty and His Knights
Thirteen-year old Squires Lancelot and Gwaine dropped Merlin off at a safe place. They began their journey back to their kingdom but were attacked by bandits. Gwaine was kidnapped and Lancelot was left for dead, badly injured and unconscious. Luckily, he was taken and healed by druids. They both got word that their kingdom was taken over. Gwaine spent the next nine years wandering, believing that his friend was dead. Merlin didn't see either of them for another nine years... in Camelot.
