Alexa never expected much from her family's move to Scotland. Her father's new job seemed like just another chapter in their ordinary life. But what she didn't know was how extraordinary-and dangerous-that job truly was.

It wasn't long before Alexa found herself caught in a web of secrets and lies, tangled up with people she couldn't trust and a world she couldn't begin to understand. It wasn't supposed to be like this.

Someone thought Alexa was tough enough to handle it all. But would she really be able to? Could she carry the weight of this mess?

Then, she meets him again.

But this time, he doesn't remember her. Or does he?

Every look, every gesture, feels like a game-one where the rules are shifting and nothing is certain. What is he hiding? And more troubling still, what is she hiding?
The deeper Alexa digs, the more she realizes how connected everything is. Secrets are buried deep, and the truth is elusive. But there's two questions that stands above all others:
