Nikki Mendoza, a 16-year-old overachiever, has been valedictorian since day one-always on stage and collecting medals like second nature. Petite with morena skin, a matangos na ilong, and expressive eyes, Nikki stands out not only for her achievements but for her sharp mind and quiet confidence. While Edison Rivera, a 17-year-old demisexual man, is Nikki's best friend and a natural leader-SSG president, classroom president, choir member, and former badminton player. He's also part of the lyre at SLU and knows how to play the xylophone. Though he can come off as masungit at first, Edison's true nature is sweet and gentlemanly once you get to know him. Not fluent in Tagalog, he shares a love for photography and aesthetics with Nikki, as well as an obsession for matcha. As Nikki finds herself falling for him, she's caught in a whirlwind of mixed signals, unable to tell if his sweet gestures are just signs of casual friendship or something deeper, leaving her lost and confused.
