1789, Thomas Jefferson returns from France as a new person, exchanging his old shell of a sensitive, anxious man for his new flamboyant, magenta persona- or so he thought. His plans of restarting life masked as a new man when he returns to America are knocked apart when a little rage filled gremlin called Alexander Hamilton crashes into his life.
Between meetings with his old lover, John Adams, and the loss of his former father figure, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson is determined to leave his legacy on the new nation without getting distracted.

A rivalry was instantly caused, fueled by the hatred each of them felt for the other. Although Jefferson was entirely a mystery to everyone at school, that didn't stop my best friend becoming particularly interested in him during our junior year. For whatever reason, after launching his plan to put Jefferson in his place, he became quite fond of the tall Virginian.
