The rain was relentless, soaking everything in its path as I hurried toward my car after a long day of meetings. Just as I reached for the door handle, a blur of movement stopped me. A girl. Running straight toward me. Before I could ask her anything, she spoke-breathless, confident, almost as if she had rehearsed it a hundred times. "Wearing black was a great idea-it really suits you. You're even more handsome than I imagined." Her voice carried over the rain, warm and daring. "So, before this date ends, let's make it memorable. Let's kiss in the rain. Fulfill my wish." And before I could react-before I could even process what was happening-her lips crashed against mine. For a moment, the world melted away. The rain faded, the night blurred. There was only "her"-her warmth, her presence, her touch. And I didn't hesitate. I kissed her back, lost in the moment, lost in whatever this was. We pulled away, breathless, both of us drenched yet utterly alive. She smiled-satisfied, as if she had gotten exactly what she wanted. "Okay, I have to leave. It's already late. Thanks for the blind date idea, I really enjoyed it. Bye!" And just like that-she was gone. I stood there, stunned, replaying the moment in my mind, questioning if it had actually happened. And then-another voice. "Did you see a girl here?" I turned. A guy about my age was walking toward me, scanning the area anxiously. And that's when I noticed it. He was wearing a black shirt too. A chill-not from the rain-ran down my spine. Who was she? And who was he?

The story opens with the storm. Daniela is trapped in it, soaked, trembling, and lost in panic. Her fear of rain isn't just about the car crash, though. There's another hidden truth tied to that night: someone was there when it happened. Someone she never forgot. You. Back then, you were just a kid too, standing by helplessly as the accident unfolded. You saw the wreck, saw the flashes of ambulance lights, saw Daniela being pulled away screaming for her parents. You never knew her name, but that memory has stayed buried in you for years, etched into the sound of rain. Unlike her, you grew to love it, because it made you feel close to that memory, close to the girl who survived. Now, years later, in the middle of a storm, you stumble upon her again without realizing it at first. The curly-haired girl curled into herself, shaking in the downpour, it's her. The very same girl from that night. When you approach, she doesn't recognize you. To her, you're just a stranger. But something about her face, her eyes, snaps you back to that rainy night long ago. The plot unfolds with this haunting question: what if the person you were destined to meet was someone whose pain you had already witnessed, without either of you knowing fate would pull you together again? As the story moves forward, you're torn between telling her the truth, that you were there the night her life shattered, or keeping it hidden so she doesn't see you as part of the trauma. The rain then becomes more than fear or comfort, it's the thread that's always tied you both together. ❗❗PAUSED❗❗
