This left Davina with Daria in LA, living well until Tom disappeared. As Daria descended back into addiction, they were forced to move to a motel in the Industrial fringe of LA. While running from her past, Buffy returns to Los Angeles under the alias "Anne", resulting in Davina and Buffy, childhood friends, to reunite. They are thrown back into their usual adventures when something in town seems to be draining the life out of the homeless population of LA.

After her mother's disappearance, and the police department's dismissal of the case, Davina and the Scooby Gang are left to their own devices to investigate Daria's disappearance, and bring her home, all while working together to prevent Mayor Richard Wilkins' Ascension into Olvikan. Trained by Giles, Willow, and Xander, Davina discovers her lineage and the abilities that come with her heritage-eventually becoming the first full day-walking vampire by birth.
