The girl:
Aevri's life was perfect until that one tragic night she lost both her mother and her older sister to a cruel storm.

Ironic how one moment they were on a wonderful cruise sailing smoothly through the Caribbean to celebrate their parents' anniversary, the next gasping for air in the middle of the deep blue sea.
