Curiosity Killed the Cat

A missing girl; her twin sister; her best friend.

Lydia Hernandez, a girl far too kind and naive for this cruel world. She was a junior, nearly a senior in high school at the time when she was reported missing. "A runaway," later stated by the police.

Amery Hernandez, now a senior in high school. A girl who counts her steps and completely loses her mind at odd numbers. She tries to hold out hope that her twin sister will come home, but can't stay positive for long.

Sophie Smith, also now a senior in high school. A girl who wishes to forget her best friend and leave the past behind her. The memory of her best friend lingers in the back of her head at all times, like a persistent reality check.

When Sophie and Amery meet again in a less then fortunate way, both conflicted with thoughts of their loved one, they have to learn to work together to find a reasonable explanation for Lydia's disappearance. To convince the police to reopen the previously closed case is what they both desire.

Will Sophie and Amery be able to work together? Will they be able to persuade the police to reopen a closed mystery? Will they find the real reason Lydia ran away, or will they find an entirely different possibility?
