The air hung heavy with the scent of damp earth and pine needles a symphony of nocturnal chirps and rustles weaving through the stillness of the moonlit forest. Lily, a veterinary student more accustomed to the sterile scent of antiseptic and the rhythmic beeping of heart monitors, found herself utterly disoriented. she'd been on a late-night trek chasing the elusive thrill of spotting a rare owl species, when she stumbled upon him. He lay sprawled amidst the tangled undergrowth, a figure pf imposing size even in his injured stat. his dark hair the color of a ravens wing was plastered to to his forehead, streaked with mud and blood. his breathing was ragged, a harsh rasp that cut through the quiet night. He was undeniably magnificent even in his vulnerability. a breathtaking paradox of raw power and agonizing fragility. at first lily's only thought was to flee. The sheer size of the man coupied with the ominous aura he exuded, instilled a primal fear deep within her bones. But something in his pained groans in the way his hand clutched at his side, stopped her. Hesitantly, cautiously. she approached the moon, a silvery disc hanging in the inky sky cast long dancing shadows that played tricks on her eyes blurring the lines between reality and nightmare. As she got closer she could make out the details, a ruggedly handsome face marred by a deep gash above his brow broad shoulders taut with muscle even in his weakened state a hand large enough to engulf hers stained crimson. Lily despite her apprehension, felt a strange pull towards him, a compelling need to help. her training as a veterinary student kicked in; years spent tending to injured animals now channeled into a desperate attempt to assess the mans condition.

Lily has finally found her mate. After being kidnapped, turned into a wolf and falling down countless trees its about time. Yet, even through all the perfect mushy things, something still seems off. Her mind keeps flickering to a certain somebody and there comes the question of: Was it a mistake? They say that when a werewolf finds their mate, they will be able to identify him from miles away. It comes at an instant. One minute you will still be falling through trees and the next you'll be faced with him. You'll be face with the dark hair, the perfect sculptured face. Everything will be perfect. Every puzzle piece will somehow fall into place and there will be no more sign of loss, anger, betrayal or even hatred. All those feelings will disappear and you'll be confronted with the most glorious feeling of happiness, love and lust. All directed at ONE specific person. Yet, when I dazedly looked at those two wolves staring at me - black spots and dizziness creating six godlike figures, those sirens did not halt as my eyes flickered between them. Here was two men. One I've known my whole life. We've shared a lifetime together. Those chocolate orbs eyes always glinting mischievously. And there was the person I've known for a few weeks. We've shared moments together I could only imagine spending with my mate. But that had only been because of the heat? Or had it been. I slowly blinked once more, my eyelids only becoming heavier. Inside my head my wolf was howling, the sound making the thudding in my head only worse. There were two men. Two equally important. But who was the one I was destined to be with?
