A story told through poetry and poetic prose that I wrote for a Creative Writing class. It was a response to a lecture regarding "Mad Artists" and the idea that most of the best creative minds are deranged or mad in some way. Through this story, I wanted to let the other aspiring writers of my class who seemed to romanticize the "deranged writer" have a peek inside the doors of derangement.

Hatter's Revenge (rewriting - read at own risk)
There are a few things you need to know about Wonderland. First off, completely misnamed. It should be Terrorland. People don't just accidentally tumble into Wonderland, it sucks them in. There is no following of cute white rabbits with pocket watches. Wonderland is dangerous and you can lose a lot more than your head if you're not careful. Second, the Hearts are in control, but they shouldn't be. The throne of Wonderland rightfully belongs to the Spade heir. But he's currently missing. Third, and probably most important, is that Madison Hatter is NOT a native of Wonderland. He was yanked through a mirror many years ago and has been trying to survive Wonderland ever since. Now he has an idealistic young Real-Worlder on his hands and a rebellion in his heart. Mad is going to remove that Heart Queen if it's the last thing he does. She's the one who stole him from his life all those years ago and he's been waiting for the moment when he can tear her life to shreds in repayment. Everyone knows that Dwarf women are not the prettiest and look just like Dwarf men, but there is one dwarf that has the beauty of an Elven Queen. Her name is Dakota. Even though she is gorgeous she got picked at a lot. She was different from the other Dwarfs. They said she was a disgrace to her kind. She lived with only her mother and she had no siblings. She didn't know a lot about her father. She only knew that he was an Elf. She had never seen him. She had no contact with. She didn't know where he was or what he was doing. She didn't even know his name.... But she didn't want to know who he was. She thought he was a heartless bastard. Her mother met him at a bar and they fell in love. She got pregnant and she told the elf. He was shocked and ran away from his unborn child. Nor Dakota nor her mother knew exactly why he left. It broke her mothers heart. And when her mother told Dakota, it broke her heart too. She still found the happiness and strength to go on. Dakota's mother worked as a maid for Dís the granddaughter of the king Thror. This is how Dakota and Thorin met. Thorin is Dís' brother. They have been best friend form a very young age. They never left each other's side. Even when they got older they remained best friends. Okay, so for my senior year, I took a creative writing class as an elective. Mostly because I didn't have a sixth or seventh period and I wanted to give it a try. Not only did it have Creative Writing with making different stories, for the second half of the school year the class goes into making poems and crap like that. Making a book on Wattpad about this was my idea alone because I want to share what I came up with. This will include what I wrote down according to the writing prompt given, along with the poems that I made. This book will not last long as this is just to show off what I came up with in that one class, but still, stories are meant to be shared plus its a different kind of creativity. "There once was a hatter, As mad as could be. And had a daughter, Who was madder than he." Tarrant Hightopp, known as the maddest hatter in Wonderland, had a daughter. No one knows who her mother was, only that she was long gone after her child's and could not be found. Not even the Mad Hatter himself knew who his own daughter's mother was. But nevertheless, the people in Wonderland took care of her as if she were their own kin. She had as many mothers and fathers and siblings as there were people. She was an ordinary child, without a single drop of madness in her. The people wondered when she would get the genes. Then, a catastrophe happened, and she lost everything.
