A story told through poetry and poetic prose that I wrote for a Creative Writing class. It was a response to a lecture regarding "Mad Artists" and the idea that most of the best creative minds are deranged or mad in some way. Through this story, I wanted to let the other aspiring writers of my class who seemed to romanticize the "deranged writer" have a peek inside the doors of derangement.

Even though she is gorgeous she got picked at a lot. She was different from the other Dwarfs. They said she was a disgrace to her kind. She lived with only her mother and she had no siblings. She didn't know a lot about her father. She only knew that he was an Elf. She had never seen him. She had no contact with. She didn't know where he was or what he was doing. She didn't even know his name.... But she didn't want to know who he was. She thought he was a heartless bastard. Her mother met him at a bar and they fell in love. She got pregnant and she told the elf. He was shocked and ran away from his unborn child. Nor Dakota nor her mother knew exactly why he left. It broke her mothers heart. And when her mother told Dakota, it broke her heart too. She still found the happiness and strength to go on. Dakota's mother worked as a maid for Dís the granddaughter of the king Thror. Okay, so for my senior year, I took a creative writing class as an elective. Mostly because I didn't have a sixth or seventh period and I wanted to give it a try. Not only did it have Creative Writing with making different stories, for the second half of the school year the class goes into making poems and crap like that. Making a book on Wattpad about this was my idea alone because I want to share what I came up with. This will include what I wrote down according to the writing prompt given, along with the poems that I made.
