The Capitol crowns Katniss and Peeta as their sweethearts, Victors, the star-crossed lovers from District Twelve. But President Snow has noticed the two that escaped. And in Panem, being noticed is never a good thing. In the aftermath of the arena, Claire and Cato must navigate a world that never intended for them to live. Every move they make is watched. Every word, calculated. And as whispers of rebellion begin to spark across the districts, the Capitol is looking for scapegoats - and distractions.
We're still in slow burn territory! These are two traumatized eighteen-year-olds who are figuring out what it means to feel safe, to heal, and eventually, love. Be patient with them (and with me!). My focus continues to be the brutal reality of Panem: the Capitol's cruelty, the Games' aftermath, and the cost of survival.
This fanfic follows the Hunger Games trilogy made by Suzanne Collins. Although I took many creative liberties, the storyline and worldbuilding are almost entirely hers. I hope you enjoy!
