Standing in the cold, looking up at the moon... The stars seem to appear less today... I hear the howls in the distance. The cold breeze swings my way... but it doesn't seem to faze me... and when I'm here in the night... my mind drifts to you... So tell me, do you not feel the cold the moon brings? Don't you feel it's shadow in the night? Crawling from the depths to swallow you whole... The stars seem to disappear, now that the demons have come out to play. Wouldn't you like to break free from these shackles that binds you in the abyss? Do you still feel locked up in this hell... if you can fight them off then you'll be able to break free from this eternal slumber... Maybe then you'll get to feel the cold that I feel under the moon's light... •°•°• This book will be filled with poetry. It will be like a poem diary. It holds the love he lost, the love I still carry." ----- Years after her husband's death, she still writes letters by moonlight, holding on to a love lost in war. Everyone says she's foolish for waiting. Until he returns... alive, but with no memory of her and a new life that doesn't include her. Now, she must choose: hold on to a love that's already gone, or let go of the only man she ever waited for. ----- Author's Claim: This is my first time publishing a story and I know I still need improvement. I'm not a professional writer, just someone with a heart full of memories, emotions, and a love that never found its ending. Every word I've written comes from a place of longing, loss, and the hope that maybe someone out there understands. I don't know where this story will go, or if it's enough... Its my thoughts and emotions spoken in a different suppossed to be more emotional and deeper way then just looking at what happened and crying about it. What happened can never be fixed but I won't let those people go by un-noticed and I hope karma sincerely kicks them in more then the ass someday. I don't wish pain upon no one but I do crave for them to just UNDERSTAND what they made me feel since they all walked away without a scrape, just a smirk on all their faces in the end.
