Yokohama is closed. Its powers, its people-buried in history after the Great War. But when two of its forgotten sons are sent to infiltrate U.A. High School under Fyodor's command, their mission to erase quirks begins to unravel. Sigma never asked to feel anything. Nikolai just wants to make it through without blowing his cover (or anyone up). But between awkward friendships, spiraling identities, and a growing rift with their master, they might learn the one thing Fyodor didn't plan for: choice.

Nikolai Volkov isn't hard to please, really. It isn't often that he wants for something he can't or doesn't already have. Growing up in Russia, he and his found siblings used to spend their nights quietly imagining what their hero names would be if they had been born into a different life... a life with loving families, full bellies, gentle hands, or warm beds. If they were lucky, maybe all four. So yeah, he's easily pleased by his life as a hacker contracted by the heroes of Japan to do their dirty work. Well, work that has the potential to become dirty. Nikolai doesn't often want for something he can't or doesn't already have... until UA (Japan's best hero school) propositions him with a teaching position that pays handsomely. Suddenly the first thing on his mind every morning? Shota Aizawa. Ah yes, there's the something he can't or doesn't already have.
