When the whole world of a random student is falling apart all she needs is some comfort.

Alex is a 20 year old high schooler hated by all the students and professors, she comes to school every day beaten up and high, gets into random fights with others, is failing all over her classes, and nobody knows anything about her except that she is a lesbian, and a player that fucks around every night after parties.

On the other hand, Lydia, the literature teacher, a 37 year old women, known to be divorced twice and never in good mood, notices Alex's behavior and tries her best to make her open up to her.
Will Alex let herself be vulnerable enough for Lydia to give it to her? Or will she try and run away from her problems like she always does?

Emily Lockhart has it all figured out. She's studying in a prestigious program, living abroad, and dating with marriage in mind. Her future is mapped out. But life doesn't care about plans. When Emily's world is suddenly turned upside down, who will she turn to? ・・・ Alex Carmichael is a lost soul. She used to have a clear path laid out: she'd inherit her family's fortune, marry her high school sweetheart, and run one of the largest companies in the U.S. But now, she has no idea what to do with her life. The fame that once clung to her now feels suffocating, her will to meet new people nonexistent, and her heart seems broken beyond repair. But when she locks eyes with a familiar pair of deep, ocean-blue eyes, she feels like she can breathe again. ········· This is an independent sequel to Melting The Ice, following the story of Alex and Emily from both POVs. It can be read as a standalone, and I will admit the writing is much better in this one, but you're more than welcomed to read Melting The Ice beforehand. Trigger Warnings: This story portrays a character who is struggling with eating disorders, particularly anorexia, so beware. There will be mentions of depression and anxiety. They are both going through it, and it is the trying that matters, so a lot of heartbreak before a happy ending. And, of course, smut🫡
