April O'Neil: So, you wrote a book... Me: A long-ass book. April: A long-ass book! How did it come about? Me: Well, actually, I was just looking for a xreader story with an adult Donnie, where the female character is strong and independent, doesn't need to be rescued all the time, and isn't a giggling schoolgirl. April: And you didn't find anything? Me: Don't get me wrong, April! There are so incredibly great fanfics and xreader stories out there, and I ate them all up! But I needed a new kick and I wanted something epic, dramatic that involved the mystical powers of the turtles and their further developments. April: And then you started writing yourself? Me: The story came about on its own. In my head. And at some point I just had to write it down, otherwise I would have exploded. With the writing, it didn't become a typical xreader story with the "y/n" in it, because that had irritated me. I know that the "y/n" comes out of an inclusive thought, and I think that's good and right. Unfortunately it blocked me, the heroine in my story was too complex and too concrete, and so I gave it up, even if it was no longer a real xreader story. April: And now you're writing a second book? Me: Exactly. The sequel. I'm on it. April: Do you want to give us a little teaser? Me: Well, there's still Leo and his complicated relationship with my heroine. One night, she walks along the streets of the city and gets confronted by her friend, the Nightwatcher, who needs a favor. But, the problem is, she figures out he's a turtle, and she's in for more than she ever bargained. And has feelings towards two specific turtles. What can she do when she has a crush on two different turtles, and can't tell either one of them about it? Read to find out! This story is based on the TMNT 2007 movie. Contains some of the movie, but not entirely. It is my first TMNTFanFic so go easy on me about how it's done. Shouldn't be many grammatical errors.
