The Jones and Bulkler families were known for their centuries long rivalry. Their shared hatred for one another and eagerness to one up each other on their magical powers passed on as each new generation came to be. However, this hatred is pushed aside as Castrel Jones and James Bulkler must work together to solve the problem that is causing their families magic to drain. Castrel and James learn to see their similarities in their differences and learn to see who each other are. Not just by their last names and bloodline, but who they are as a person.

Castrel Jones, second oldest of the famous head of the Jones family, is beginning his final year of Fablewood. A well known and well established school where magic and wonders of a magical and mysterious world named Eldoria is learned. As always he expected it to be a quiet school year, passing through his studies and focusing on his future to serve the Jones family with no distractions. Or so he thought. James Bulkler, oldest of the head of the Jones family's rival, the Bulkler family, has decided to be quite bold this school year. Despite being quiet and keeping his distance from Castrel for the last years James has been eyeing and insisting on getting on good terms with Castrel. Claiming that they didn't have to hate each other and that they were possibly the only people in their families to fix things.
