Summer of 1978. A group of teenagers and younger kids arrive at a secluded summer camp in rural America, expecting a few weeks of sunshine, swimming, and ghost stories around the fire. But something ancient has awakened in the woods-something that feeds every 23 years, for 23 days.

When the camp director mysteriously never arrives, and strange things begin happening-dead animals, vanishing campers, and shadows in the trees-the group slowly realizes they are not alone. Trapped miles from civilization, with no working phones or adults to rely on, the kids must band together to uncover the legend of the Creeper before they become his next meal.
