After years of silence, the forest breathes again.

Ren, a quiet boy burdened with the ability to see spirits, is sent away from the city to live in his family's ancestral home-on the edge of a mystical forest said to whisper to those who listen. Wearing a fox mask and speaking in riddles, she saves him when he's lost, then disappears into the trees like a dream. What Ren doesn't know is that she's Aira-guardian-in-training of the sacred forest, and granddaughter of the woman who once fell in love with a spirit named Gin. Aira hides her identity to protect the fragile balance of their world... and the heart she didn't expect to give away.

As Ren settles into the small town and the two cross paths again at school, fate begins to stir. The spirits call him "Gin," drawn to something forgotten inside him. The deeper Ren ventures into the forest, the closer he comes to truths buried in time-of a boy who once faded in a summer's embrace, and a girl who never truly let go.
