Opal was quiet, she was used to the soft comfort of never speaking up, and in turn, never being afraid of not being heard. So, when she started to notice the famous popstar, Conan Gray, who she was used to passing on the way out of the recording studio a little more than just the usual glance and small smile, she was quiet. She wasn't going to say anything about it, because suddenly, the fear of being ignored, or worse, acknowledged, was extremely real. Until he spoke. Reminder: Conan Gray is his own person and this is just fiction!!

𝓗𝓮 𝓲𝓼 𝓷𝓸𝓽 𝓹𝓮𝓻𝓯𝓮𝓬𝓽. 𝓝𝓸 𝔀𝓸𝓷𝓭𝓮𝓻 𝓘 𝓪𝓶 𝓲𝓷 𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮 𝔀𝓲𝓽𝓱 𝓱𝓲𝓶. "Sometimes in the race to be loved, we forget that the most important person that can love us, is ourselves." Conan gets a dare to talk to Heather and eventually says everything he never told him. Heather, or better known as Heathcliff, is the boy who always made him feel irrelevant and less important. Never in a million years would he want to talk to him but when an unexpected cliche situation drives him to it, suddenly, Heathcliff isn't the Perfect Prince he knew anymore and maybe, just maybe...Conan enjoys talking to him. Life was never easy for Heathcliff. He was called the Perfect Prince in school because he complied easily and never argued. He is trying hard to become a little selfless and hopes to live a little more for himself rather than others. He is struggling from a brutal loss and trying to navigate his life through the mess. When a text from a very mysterious high school acquaintance pops up, he takes the chance to explore his depths and distract himself. Both boys soon discover that no matter how much they deny the connection between themselves, they care for each other and are starting to care for themselves too. Cover owned by me.
