Just a quick shot I took on writing a little bit in the world of The Last Of Us, the videogame from Naughty Dog (All Rights Reserved). I´m from Germany, so if my english isn´t all too perfect, go easy on me :) I initially wrote it for a group on Facebook, but now I´m releasing it here as well. Furthermore I don´t think, that I will continue writing this story, except if there´s a huge demand for it.
A short peek on what it´s about:
Life after the Outbreak turns out be hard, but it´s not a death sentence to humanity. People organize in small groups to survive. There´s the military, which tries to establish a new government and keep things under control, the Fireflies, who still think the infestation can be cured and there are the hunters, who live from raiding and looting the people who can´t defend themselfes against the others. But there are more people, than just these groups. Normal people, who try to build up their own little society and get back some sort of routine. These people have to struggle from day to day, just like the others do. Lack of food, medicine, ammo and basically any supplies. They are forced to scavenge a continuous enlarging area around their homes, and face more and more dangers as the distance between them and their homes gets bigger. And when the light of the day fades away, and leaves you alone in the dead of night, you don´t want to be far from home. But that´s what everyone has to deal with in these times. It´s their everyday business...
Constructive feedback, questions and suggestions are always welcome and appreciated.
Thanks for reading if you did, and I wish you a woderfull morning/day/evening/night!

A Maybank and A Cameron? It's almost like a modern Romeo and Juliet. It's forbidden for them to be together. Could be the end of the world.
The stolen glances, the hidden feelings, the unspoken words, the secret meetings and the obvious hatred towards each other followed by constant conflicts and some hidden past that threatened them but there are always invisible strings tied and pulling them together no matter how hard the tides trying to pull and part them away from each other.
