The classroom was buzzing with the usual pre-period chatter when the teacher walked in.
"Singhania, plug the projector in, will you?" she said, gesturing toward the tangle of wires near the wall.
Rising like a reluctant gladiator, Vidyut Singhania trudged toward the plug point-only to find it hidden behind a cardboard box labeled "Extra Charts (DO NOT TOUCH)." He bent, twisted, and squatted, but the elusive hole remained hidden.
After a few dramatic sighs, he finally found the socket and jabbed the plug in.
He dusted off his hands and returned to his seat. But fate-or rather, Shree, the sass queen sitting behind him-had other plans.
"What happened, Mr. Singhania?" she leaned forward, batting her lashes. "Couldn't find the hole?"
A perfectly timed silence fell over the front rows as the students beside them snickered, heads ducked, shoulders shaking.
Vidyut paused, turned halfway in his seat, eyes locking with hers. He smirked, his voice low and lazy.
"Give me a chance, and then you tell me... if I couldn't find it or not."
A collective oohhh rippled through the nearby desks as Rhea's smirk dropped into a full-blown blush. She turned redder than the "Attention!" sticker on the class notice board.
Vidyut, fully satisfied, leaned back in his chair, eyes on the whiteboard like nothing happened.
The teacher hadn't even started the lesson yet, but the class? Oh, they were already wide awake.

First book 🏒.
Starting college was supposed to be Violet Vale's escape plan.
New country. New city. New campus.
And then there's Ethan Maddox-tattoos inked like warnings, that infuriating smirk, and a six-foot-five presence that fills every room like he owns it.
Her brother's best friend.
Her worst enemy.
And now? Her accidental shadow at Northbridge University.
Violet's spent years trading insults and eye-rolls with Ethan, ever since he became an honorary part of her family. But there's nothing brotherly about the way he looks at her now-or the way her pulse reacts when he calls her Vi like it's some kind of challenge.
He's cocky. Infuriating. One year older.
And the only person on campus who makes her feel anything at all.
They're not friends. Definitely not something more.
But the line between hate and something far messier is starting to blur.
And when hearts get tangled...
Someone's going to fall.
