This story began as a screenplay-written by a 19-year-old for a college project in 2013. Years later, it returns in a new form: not rewritten, but remembered. A story about waiting, longing, and the quiet kind of love that endures in silence. Do you believe that love, once lost, can still find its way back to you?

He once promised her--told her with all the sincerity a child could hold--that he would marry her when they grew up. And she believed him. Held onto that promise like it was sacred. Seventeen years passed. She waited--patiently, silently, faithfully. Holding onto the memory of a boy who once looked her in the eyes and promised forever. And then, after all those years, she saw him again. But something was wrong. His smile wasn't the same. His eyes didn't light up the way they used to. Did he still remember? Did he still carry that promise in his heart the way she did? Or was she the only one who never let go? People are full of words--so easy to say, so easy to forget. They promise to love you. Promise to stay. Promise not to hurt you. Promise you forever. But at the end of the day, promises are just that words. And like they always say... Promises are meant to be broken.
