Lucy has always followed the rules. Quiet, studious, and kind, she's spent her life blending into the background, excelling in school, and making sure everyone else is comfortable-except herself.

What starts as resentment slowly melts into an understanding neither of them expected. Their romance is messy and complicated-filled with missteps, arguments, and moments of breathtaking tenderness. They pull each other apart only to piece one another back together. And in the end, they realize that no one else has ever truly understood them the way they do.
Through heartbreak and healing, mistakes and forgiveness, they learn that sometimes, the most unlikely love is the one that saves you.
