Buck disappeared.
After the lawsuit, it took a while for things to become normal again between the members of the 118, but being family, they made up eventually. They really are just one big family, after all.
One day Buck didn't show up to work.
Then the next.
One day turned into two. Then two days turn into a week. A week into a month.
And no one has heard from Buck. Other than Maddie.
The 118 really hopes Buck is just in one big mood, hiding in his loft. But do they really want to keep believing that when they get a call to the building that his loft is in?

She hated it, but it was the only place where she thought her ex wouldn't find her; but she was wrong. He broke into her apartment - that was above the bar - one night and assaulted her. The next day, she got a call from her brother asking her to join him in LA, and she said yes without hesitation. She packed up her things and fled in the middle of the night with her daughter after the bar had closed so that nobody would see her. A short flight later, she landed in Los Angeles, California, and was reunited with her brother after years of not seeing each other in person. She joins the 118 as a rookie firefighter and finally lets herself be happy. But all of that is threatened when her past begins to catch up with her. 9-1-1, Season 1 - 7
