Jack Summers can read minds.
 He's been able to do it ever since he was little. 
  He used it for trivial things, like getting good test scores from nerds, gathering true friends, and making his parents and fellow band members happy. 
  But the autumn of his Junior Year in Filmore, Indiana, everything changes. 
His best friend, Riley, is getting harder to read. He's hiding something, and for the first time, Jack doesn't know what it is.
His seatmate in English Class, Violet, is an open book. Her disturbing thoughts deeply worry Jack and give him visions. He has to save her and know everything before it's too late.
Jack's friends, Shawn and Mary, have something sinister going on. They haven't been hanging out with the band. Jack knows something's gonna happen. But he can only read minds, not tell the future.
