Elora Aguirre has always been determined to chase success whether in her studies or anything else she sets her mind to. Her goal has always been clear that is to be the number one. But everything changed when Arcus Verano entered the picture. A laid-back, effortless genius who seemed like he'd never pulled an all-nighter or stressed over a lecture, while Elora pushed herself to the limit just to keep up.
Since the day they met, her only goal has been to beat him, to take that number one spot away. She hated how he acted so uninterested in class yet he would still ace all the exams like they were nothing, while she struggled to stay second place despite her hard work.
Desperate to get ahead, Elora blackmailed Arcus into tutoring her. But as they spent more time together, she didn't realize that her obsession with beating him was slowly blurring the lines between frustration and attraction.
