They always said quirks were a gift. A blessing. Proof of humanity's next step in evolution. But no one ever asked what we were evolving into.

It started subtly-whispers in the hallways of U.A., shadows moving where light should reign. Students talked about a chill in the dorms, about dreams that felt too real. At first, it was easy to ignore. Stress, they said. Imagination. A byproduct of pushing young heroes too hard.

But then Midoriya started drawing symbols in his notebook that he didn't remember writing. Todoroki's ice would crackle with voices only he could hear. Bakugou swore he saw something crawl out of a mirror and vanish before he could blast it.

And All Might-he warned them once. Just once. "There are things quirks can't fight," he said, eyes shadowed by memories he refused to explain.

The line between the natural and supernatural had always been thin. At U.A., it's about to shatter.
