Avery Lane doesn't talk much. Not because they don't have anything to say-but because no one ever really listens. Starting college was supposed to be a fresh start. But nothing feels new. The people are loud, the rooms are cold, and Avery is still carrying the same pain they've tried to bury for years. They smile when they have to. They lie when people ask if they're okay. And inside, they're slowly falling apart. The Weight of Quiet is a story about loneliness, hidden hurt, and the kind of sadness that doesn't always show. As Avery drifts through empty days and quiet nights, they write in their journal, remember the past, and try to hold on-just a little longer. This is a story of what it feels like to be lost. To want to be seen. And what happens when the silence becomes too heavy to carry. This story is about depression, struggling with mental health since childhood. Im trying to represent how depression actually is.

Amara's world changed in one night, a night that left her body bruised and her soul scarred in ways no one could see. Outwardly, she tries to live as though nothing happened-going to school, smiling when spoken to, pretending she is fine. But inside, she is unraveling. Nightmares stalk her sleep, exhaustion grips her days, and even her body begins to reflect the weight of her unspoken trauma. Her parents notice her fading appetite and restless spirit; her teachers notice her slipping grades. Yet every time someone asks, "Are you okay?" Amara hides behind the same mask: "I'm fine." Beneath that mask, she is anything but fine. She is drowning in silence, desperate for help but terrified to speak. The story follows her quiet struggle-her battle against invisible wounds, her fear of being judged or disbelieved, and her longing for someone to see past the lies she tells. It is a story of pain carried in secret, and the fragile hope that healing might one day break through the darkness.
