The Hunt for Isabela

In the Badlands of Cyberpunk universe, ruined cities stretch as far as the eye can see, dilapidated skyscrapers crumble and rust has made its bed on all that remains of civilization. Wrecked vehicles litter the crumbling roads and weathered holographic billboards broadcast incoherent messages. The Badlands are a desolate land where the law of the strongest prevails and survival is a daily struggle. It is in this environment that the Campbell clan writes its story, united in the face of the tyranny of the corpos.

Franck Horrigan, de facto fifth chief of the clan, is familiar with this desert landscape. Brought up to be a leader, nurtured on the tales of a father fiercely opposed to order, he soon took charge of the clan's riskiest expeditions to the bangs of the civilized world. It was while on a mission near the Mexican border that he met Isabela. She wasn't supposed to be part of the mission - just another stowaway in a group hoping to reach Night City. But in the Badlands, chaos dictates its own rules.

And Franck, who had previously known only the weight of responsibility, found a chink in his armor: another Catholic soul bound by the same refusal to bend to the world as it is. She has become his compass, reminding him that in the midst of chaos, there are still things worth protecting.
