Start: April 21, 2025
End:
Cornelia Ocina, a hardworking Filipina, has spent three years living in the quiet town of Berkersheim in Frankfurt. She works long hours as a waiter, sending most of her earnings back home to give her sisters in the Philippines a chance at a better, easier life. For Cornelia, everything she does is for her family.
Life is simple, predictable-until she meets Rio, a quiet and charming newcomer at the restaurant. He's polite, a little reserved, and doesn't talk much about his life. Still, there's something about him that draws Cornelia in, even though she doesn't quite understand why.
She doesn't know it yet, but Rio is carrying a secret that could change the life Cornelia thought she had under control.
----------------
Rio came to Frankfurt to run from something bigger than himself, something he was born into but never wanted. But the moment he meets Cornelia, everything shifts.
She's warm, selfless, and completely unaware of the storm he carries within him.
Rio knows he shouldn't get close. He knows the rules that bind his blood, but he can't help it. He wants her.
And whether the world approves or not, Rio is determined to make her his-even if it means writing fate itself.
Evangeline Yu went back to the Philippines only to find out that her house was sold, her sister had ran away with her money and her mother was in comatose. She's basically at her wit's end. But what if while she's at her lowest, her much-awaited Superman appears and saves her from everything?
***
All her life, Evangeline Soleil Yu has foolishly believed that a destined ""Superman"" for her exists to save her when in need. But after encountering a series of unfortunate events, her hopes regarding the superhero have been totally thrown out the window. When she crosses paths with a certain Uno Montgomery--and with him insisting that he is the Superman she has long waited for--will Evangeline be willing to open up her heart again? And with Uno being the unpredictable guy that he is, would she dare risk to fall--and be caught?
