Saoirshana Kailani Juana Isadora Viviette Flare Delmare, was always known as the girl who lit up every room. The kind of surfer who made riding a ten-foot wave look like floating. Born in Hawai'i to a half French and half filipino father and a half Filipina and half Greek mother, raised by the sea, and crowned an ACES athlete, Shana soared through international competitions with ease.

But in 2023, everything changed.

A tragic accident in Bali, Indonesia claimed the life of her best friend, Claire, during a competition neither of them saw coming. For the first time, Shana didn't just fall off a wave. She stayed down.

She disappeared from the internet. She stopped competing. And she retreated to the quiet shores of Siargao, where the waves knew her grief but never asked her to explain.
