A World Beyond Our Own

In a world far beyond our own, a world of medieval and Renaissance influences, there lived a young woman named Heleane. She was in her early twenties, with brown hair, blue eyes, and fair-to-yellow skin. She wasn't skinny, nor was she calm. Heleane had a curious nature that often made her stand out in a crowd, and her friendly, sometimes naive personality made her well-liked by many.

Heleane worked as a handmaid, providing a very unique service. She performed baths for the nobility and anyone who could afford her services. Her day was full of hard work: bringing water from the lake, heating it up, drawing the baths, cleaning, and washing hair. She also took care of feet, a job that many didn't want to do-especially when it involved treating ingrown nails or other painful foot problems. The smells and sights she encountered were unpleasant, but it was a job that had to be done.
