The fog never leaves Hollowsend. It clings to the chimneys, curls through the unmarked graves, and waits. When sixteen-year-old Dahlia Gloomwood is sent to live in the crumbling manor of a grandmother she barely knows, she begins to hear things-ghosts in the wallpaper, bells that toll thirteen times, and the hush of a name no one should remember. Children are disappearing, dolls weep red wax, and something ancient stirs beneath the city's cobblestones, threading lace through memory and silence. In a town that forgets its dead... Dahlia may be the only one who can hear them.

The world has always believed in Seven Gates - ancient barriers between life and the darkness beyond. But when one crumbles, and monsters slip through the cracks, Elyra learns a truth long buried by time: There was an Eighth Gate. And it has been whispering to her. With her home in ruins and trust in shatters, Elyra races against time through cursed lands, facing ghosts of a forgotten age, ancient trials, and betrayals she never saw coming. Somewhere beyond the end of the world, the last light flickers - and if she fails to reach it, everything she loves will be lost. Seven gates. One girl. A world hanging by a thread. The whispers have begun.
