Falling in love is meant to be one of the best things you could ever hope to experience in life. Magical. Invigorating. Life changing. At least that was what Dex had always believed anyway. And maybe it would have been, if the object of your affection loved you back the way you loved them. But he isn't that lucky. For him it was torture, everyday pretending like his feelings meant nothing, like it wasn't killing him every time they smiled at someone else. Every time they laughed at someone else's jokes. Every time they kissed someone else the way you hoped they'd kiss you. And every time realising that it would never happen.

Because they already loved someone else, someone that he already loved just as much. But that's the part they don't tell you about love - that's it's hard, complicated and hurts like hell.

But no one ever said love was easy. And that was a lesson he was learning the hard way...
