Nyx has ruled the night for centuries-a fearsome, elegant vampire with a taste for danger and a reputation for never bowing to anyone. She's all sharp teeth, high heels, and blood-soaked silk. That is, until she meets her. Lilith is just a human-sweet, stubborn, soft around the edges-but there's something about her that sinks deeper than any fang ever could. Suddenly, Nyx finds herself holding doors, biting her tongue, and aching for one soft word of praise. Now the predator is on her knees, hopelessly obsessed and ready to burn the world down for one whispered "good girl." As obsession deepens into something far more dangerous, Nyx will have to choose: protect Lilith from the shadows she calls home-or drag her into them and never let go.

In a city where magic is bound by iron and oaths, Nyx has spent years hunting the things that slip through the cracks - demons, devourers, creatures whispered about in forgotten prayers. She's good at it, until a single mission leaves her bloodied, bound to a voice she can't silence, and staring down a war she doesn't understand. As her orders grow murky and the wards that keep the world safe begin to flicker, Nyx is pulled deeper into a web of old prophecies and older hungers. Every step she takes toward the truth draws her closer to the thing she's sworn to destroy... and to the shadowed figure whose help she can't seem to refuse. Ancient power is waking. The Spire is hollowing. And Nyx may be the last barrier between the world and a hunger older than its name. Please feel free to give constructive criticism. It's been a while since I've been back in the writing game but I got inspired for this.
