Shadow wasn't the only one created to heal Maria. Sonic was also made in order to heal Maria as well, hoping that her recovery would be quicker.
Although, it hasn't gone as planned. G.U.N became suspicious of Gerald Robotnik's project and decided to end it using violence.
Maria was dead.
Gerald was dead.
Shadow couldn't find Sonic.
He has to find him. He doubts Sonic is dead. T-the azure hedgehog is strong. He.. Couldn't be dead too.
