Seventeen-year-old Carrie arrives at California, Cayucos, hot and sticky. She's about to spend the next six weeks of the summer with her mum's bestfriend, Josie, and she's not quite sure what's going to be in store. But she does hope that maybe she'll get the perfect summer that she's always dreamed of.
