In a world where a man has taken countless lives, do you really think luck would have favored Tanjiro and his friends? No, but it didn't favor Muzan either. The battle was a huge loss for both sides, one more damaging than the other, of course. Genya wasn't hit by Kokushibo's attack and actually survived the fight; Sanemi survived but was no longer able to continue fighting due to major injuries; Giyu died trying to protect Nezuko from one of Muzan's final, desperate attacks. And Muzan himself? He survived without punishment, without paying for what he had done, without anything... Now the demon corps needs to recover to attack again under Kiriya's command and the survivors' guidance in the fierce battle. Will they succeed this time?

Sanemi Shinazugawa, the Wind Hashira, had been transformed into a demon by Muzan. But like Nezuko, Sanemi managed to surpress his temptations and now fights alongside the Demon Slayer Corps. Genya, who now found himself in a similar situation as Tanjiro, found one bigger downside to this situation. He was getting double the missions. Sanemi, though considered a former Hashira, was allowed to be included in the Hashira requests since his strength and skill hadn't diminished at all, thus Genya finds himself taking on the force of his own missions, combined with his brother's, all while trying to survive and wait for a cure to arrive. Sometime after defeating Upper Moons Gyokko and Hantengu, Tanjiro Kamado awakens from one of his usual comas. While the demon slayers prepare for the upcoming Hashira Training Program, Tanjiro recovers quickly and is assigned a solo mission: to investigate a region in the mountains where people have been going missing for years. Assuming Muzan Kibutsuji's forces are recuperating, Tanjiro gladly accepts, hoping to save more innocent lives from everyday demons. It doesn't take long for him to stumble upon a society known as the Eternal Paradise Faith. Disclaimer: This is an attempt to capture the writing style of Demon Slayer and its creator, Koyoharu Gotouge. While it may not reflect my personal storytelling style, my goal is for it to feel like a legitimate 8-12 episode Demon Slayer arc. That said, I include my own writing style flair and take ownership of any original characters and the plotline itself. Please also note that there is some overlap between this arc and a couple of others, specifically the Swordsmith Village and Hashira Training arcs. OR: Taking on another Upper Moon so soon?
