But this- this is different. Lillian Waters, is different. She has her memories, and she knows what she's done. The terrible things, that all of Group B has done. Some of her closest friends. But what happens, when suddenly she get's Transferred? To where, you might ask? Group A.

Book 1: Scorch of the Mind (Newt x OC)
Just like so many others, she arrived in the maze with no memory but her name: Skylar. She escaped the horrid maze and was rescued. But no matter what these "rescuers" told her, she knew something was wrong. Along with some other kids, including an intriguing blonde headed boy, she escapes from the so-called "rescuers" and heads into the outside world not knowing what comes her way. Struggling with her memories, she must survive the dangers the world holds for her and her companions. She doesn't know why she has the ability to do certain things. For instance, knocking someone out in less then five seconds, or, knowing how to use a small pocket knife to take someone out. As she continues her journey she learns more about her past. Discover pieces of Skylar's past in this first book, "Scorch of the Mind". Extra Notes: This story starts at the beginning of Maze Runner: Scorch Trials movie. For this story, Skylar x Newt but their relationship will develop more in the sequel. All characters except for Skylar and Chris belong to James Dashner. "So when did you- you know- fall in love with her?" Thomas smirked, knowing he had him right where I wanted him, with his head in Fionaland. "Woah," Newt defeated with his hands up, "What?" "I may be slow to getting to know things around here, but I'm not that slow." Tommy chuckled, "I mean I'm pretty sure half the camp has a crush on her but you're fifty shades of complicated." He rubbed the back of his neck, "You keep surprising me, Greenie. It's... just history now." He played absentmindedly with his fingers. "Why do you ask? You uh... have a thing for her?" "Gally would happily filet me if I did." I joked. He laughed but didn't seem fully at ease. "No. I don't have a thing for her, she's a friend." He nodded, with a silent radiant of pleasure. I broke and asked him about her, "Is it really history? I mean... ever since I noticed you two together now I can't stop noticing it. She walks into a room and I feel like I have to remind you to breathe." He pulled a chair over and straddling the back of it. "You know when you're running through the maze and you're almost finished, you can see the glade and you have all this built up adrenaline? You're sore, tired, sweaty but you still feel the last bit of energy to get you home? That's what I feel whenever I'm around her. It's like every nerve in my body wants to wrap around her but I also teetering on the verge danger that would come with that."
